Privacy Policy

AffirmMyName ("we," "us") makes a personalized affirmation app and this website. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to speak your affirmation to you, we do not sell your data, and parents control everything about kids' profiles.

What we collect

• Account information: your email address and sign-in method (Google sign-in or email and password).
• Profile information: the first name you enter, its spelling, and any pronunciation spelling you save, plus your chosen voice, categories, times, and theme settings.
• Photos you add: if you set a personal photo as a background, it is used to display your affirmation. We do not use your photos for anything else.
• Family plan information: profile names and settings for members you invite. Kid profiles are created and managed by the parent; we do not collect information from children directly.
• Usage information: basic app analytics such as feature usage and crash reports, used only to improve the app.
• Purchase status: your subscription tier, provided by the app store. We never see or store your card number.

How we use it

• To generate and speak your personalized affirmations, including sending your name text to our text-to-speech provider (Google Cloud) at the moment audio is created. Voice audio requests are processed and not used to build profiles about you.
• To deliver the notifications you schedule and the motivations family members send you.
• To maintain your streaks, settings, and subscription across devices.
• To email you about your account or launch updates you signed up for. You can unsubscribe any time.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent your personal information.
• We do not show third-party ads.
• We do not collect personal information from children. Kid profiles hold only a first name and settings entered by the parent.

Children's privacy

Kid profiles exist only inside a parent's Family plan. Kids do not have logins, emails, or passwords. Content delivered to kid profiles is age-appropriate. If you believe a child has provided us personal information directly, contact us and we will delete it.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run the service: Google (sign-in and text-to-speech), our database and hosting providers, the Apple App Store and Google Play (payments), and our email provider (launch and account emails). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings, then Account, then Delete account) or by following the steps on our account deletion page. Deletion removes your account, profiles, settings, photos, and recordings within 30 days.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and stored with reputable cloud providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of data we hold deliberately small.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email.
