Welcome to AffirmMyName. By using our app or website, you agree to these terms. We wrote them to be readable, because we would rather you actually know the deal.

The service

AffirmMyName delivers personalized affirmations by text and audio, on a schedule you choose. It is encouragement, not treatment: the app is not medical, psychological, or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a professional.

Your account

You need an account to sync your settings and subscription. Keep your sign-in method secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 to create an account. Kid profiles are created and managed by a parent inside a Family plan and are not separate accounts.

Subscriptions and billing

• Free plan. The free tier is free forever. Features we ship as free stay free for existing users.
• Paid plans. Plus, Couple, and Family are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play at the prices shown at purchase, after any free trial.
• Cancellation, the fair way. Cancel anytime through your app store. You keep your full paid experience until the end of the period you already paid for. No instant downgrade. When the period ends, your account moves to the free plan.
• Family plans. If the plan owner cancels, all member profiles move to the free plan when the paid period ends. Any member can then subscribe individually or start a new family plan.
• Refunds. Purchases are processed by the app stores, and their refund policies apply. If something went wrong, contact us and we will help you sort it out.

Your content

Photos you set as backgrounds and voice recordings you make remain yours. You give us permission to store and display them to you (and to the family members you direct them to) so the app can work. Do not upload content you do not have the right to use.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no reverse engineering, no scraping, no using the motivation feature to harass anyone, and no attempts to access other people's accounts. We can suspend accounts that abuse the service or other people.

Our content

The app, its affirmation library, voices, design, and brand are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. Your personal use of the app does not transfer any ownership to you.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided as is. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. For significant changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept them.
